The Landscape Institute (LI) is coming up to their 100 anniversary (2029) and not so many people now know about its origins or the connections through people sharing professions, interests and ideas between other organisations and pressure groups. In collaboration with The Gardens Trust, we are looking forward to presenting this next series of online talks.

We feel this context in connection with the expanding LI will provide a valuable insight. 

 And we also know that there will be possibly many different views on how any one of these organisations began and who really were the key people and what they did or didn’t do etc etc. And many other organisations that must also be included - this series has definitely got wheels!

In this first series our speakers will cover the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), The Town and Country Planning Association, TCPA The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), The Institute of Landscape Architects (ILA), the Garden History Society (GHS), The Society of Garden Designers (SGD). The time range spans from 1834 to 1981.
